This course is a BCU training course. This is essential for anyone who wishes to paddle without always requiring the cover of a coach on flat water. This course will be run by Glenn Jarman who is an experienced Level 3 whitewater coach.
The course aims to provide the student with the key safety and rescue skills required to operate safely in a sheltered water environment and to be able to deal with common emergencies. These skills will then form the basis of all safety and rescue training throughout the BCU Scheme.You can obtain details about this course and the full syllabus on the bcu website.

Come along to the pool to practise sea kayaking specific rescue skills in the comfort and space of Isleworth Pool
This will include amoungst other things prevention of capsize along with how to rescue peers and self rescues.
This session is suitable for sea kayaking novices as well as more experienced sea paddlers.

Learn or practise capsize drils, rescues, rolling, unstable strokes like skulling or train and play canoe polo. This is your chance to get wet in a safe and warm environment before testing your skills in the autumnal outdoors.
