Edge are encouraging our members to speak up for what they want out of the club, and to get involved making it happen. Is it a sea kayaking trip in Pembrokeshire, open canoeing on the Wye or extra weekend trips along the Thames? We can also run various training courses in areas you want to develop such as 2/3* training. What ever it is we can help you make it happen. Chances are, if you fancy doing it, then other club members would love it too!
If you have any ideas and would like help putting them together as a club organised activity then its time for you to speak up and get involved. We can help you identify good locations, qualified coaches or trip leaders to help you put all such ideas into practise and achieve your goals.
Get in touch with ideas to email@example.com so we can help you realise all your paddling goals!

Sea Kayaking training on the Solent has been booked. This will be coached by Owen Burson from IOW sea kayaking.
Full details of venue etc are yet to be confirmed, but will be in the solent area.
We will be doing 2 days training/trips in the solent area. This will aim to solidify 3* skills for those who are already at that level, and to train up those who wish to progress towards 3* sea skills.
Cost will be approx £60-£80 pp for the whole weekend (depending on group size) to cover coaching costs.
This trip is suitable for all those who are 2* level or above and wish to progress or practise 3* skills.
Note please be aware that participants will be expected to be able to transport their own boats and equipment to the venue. Usually this isnt a problem as participants can share lifts with others etc.

Saturday 17th August
Debs and Stephen leading Open Canoe training, from Kew Bridge.
If you’re looking to get your 2 star but haven’t yet done any open canoeing (=canadian) now’s the time. Your kayaking skills will also benefit from learning open canoeing strokes – there’s something magical about the feeling of the blade in the water that will stay with you after the session. Also helps you understand trim (of the boat) and body rotation perhaps better than in a kayak on the Thames. Unless it’s really windy, in which case it’s just hard work!
11-00 am to 1-00 pm, First half of Open Canoe Training.
1-00 pm to 2-00 pm Lunch Break
2-00 pm to 5-00 pm Second half of Open Canoe Training.
Cost for Saturday session, £10 for members(including Blades and CKC) and £25 for non-members.
Participants must pay by Paypal in advance – and sign up using the button below to book! As always, limited spaces available and courses have been filling up quickly in recent months.
