Join an epic paddling voyage this Friday
Friday pm, 26th August
Paddle with adventurer Justin Miles on the penultimate stages of his epic voyage from the Bristol Channel to the English Channel to raise awareness of the problems faced by children with Brain injuries.
We will paddle with Justin from Twickenham to Putney via Chiswick Pier and Richmond. Meet us at one of the following points:
- Eel Pie Island Bridge at 4.30pm
- Twickenham at 5.30pm
- Brentford Boating Arch at 6:30pm
- Chiswick Pier at 7.30pm
- Hammersmith Blades at 8pm
Arriving in Putney for approx 8.30pm.
Justin will be paddling a Sea Kayak but we will be alongside on SUPs to help raise the profile (SUPs are still a novelty on the Thames and attract attention). Club members may want to join in with kayaks which you can borrow for the evening.
There is no charge for using our SUPs and paddles the trip but we will be asking participants who use our equipment to make a donation to the Children’s Trust who work exclusively with kids who have brain injuries and their families and help the live as normal a life as possible. You will need to have paddled an SUP at least once and be comfortable padding on the Thames. Kayaks/boards will be picked up for you at the end.
To join the epic voyage, contact us asap!
If you want to join in but have no SUP experience why not book a 1-1 or go on one of our group sessions first.
