Residents of Ealing and Hounslow can register for free canoe polo sessions at Brentford Lock as follows:
Monday – 1-3pm Hounslow Futureverstiy From 26/7/10
Tuesday – 10-12noon Ealing Futureversity From 3/8/10
Weds – 10-12noon Ealing Futureversity From 4/8/10
Weds – 3:30-5:30pm Hounslow Futureverstiy From 27/7/10

BBA and Edge ran taster sessions while the local Grounds Cafe provided drinks with a BBQ outside, all organised by ISIS, as part of a consultation on the new canalside regeneration project and impromptu mini summer fair. Approx 80 turned up to try out a whole fleet of different boats and check out our new home, a container donated by ISIS, right on the canal.

On a hot sunny day there’s nothing better than a splash and a soak. With over 20 members (!) on the trip, whitewater novices and veterans alike, juniors and adults, Edge dominated the course. Those new to whitewater managed very well in staying upright, a few tried out a tandem inflatable (obviously ended upside down) and Elmo, lead coach kept everyone’s enthusiasm under control.

Edge is pleased to launch our brand new base at Brentford Lock West on the Grand Union Canal. To celebrate our new home (in addition to BBA under Kew Bridge) and storage facility we are running a fun evening on the water for all to try out canoeing. To top it all there will be a free BBQ provided by our sponsors ISIS. The event will run from 4pm-8pm. Come along and have a go- bring along some friends too! For all club members- please dont go to Kew Bridge as our usual session is being replaced by this special club night- come along to this instead! Download the flyer.
